I've been looking for an all-in-one, lesson, theory, practice, and appliance book on speed reading. I went from 355 words/minute to averaging over 600 words/minute in less than an hour of practice on a Sunday afternoon. If I've made this kind of progress in an hour I can't imagine what the rest of the book holds in store. After reading it, you'll catch yourself reading in a new, more careful manner. I have read a few 'how to' books about creative writing and none have touched on the importance of a good paragraph. This is the best book yet on this area of writing. He said that it helped him increase by 70 pts from a 670 to a 740. I bought it, did most of the sentence completions, studied the vocab., and did the passages.
