If you are studying colonial history or if you want to showcase that world for your child, you must buy this book. What of course makes it absolutely splendiferous of a story is the author. We all know. . .or we SHOULD know about this writer, Verla Kay. She writes things 1) in rhyme 2) with historical flair. My classroom would not be without her titles for resource and literature.
