My 3 year old absolutely adores it, to the point where we read it together at least once a day, sometimes more. The illustrations are colorful, beautiful and often funny, with the animal from the prior page peeking out in a corner of the next page for your child to discover. There's a little story about a kid who goes on a safari and meets all kinds of animals, and by the end your child will see that it was all imagination and all the safari animals ...more
[2] Rating: 5 Date: 2008-02-05 Summary: step on the pedal and Go Go Go! ... We love this book. Don't tell my son, he'll be crushed to learn that the main character is a girl (shhh, I told him the pink star was a safari badge). We also have a Jeep so that may add to our fun. Sometimes after reading I find my self repeating parts of it...uh oh footsteps, greater danger, its the big safari ranger! My son also ends the sentances and pretends to read it (he's 3 and 1/2). ...more
